Exit Interview

Up

If you are graduating with an AAT this semester, your final responsibility as one of our majors
is to participate in an Exit Interview and complete the Exit Interview form in Task Stream.

The Exit Interview is NOT some kind of oral exam to find out how much you've learned.
Quite the contrary, it's your chance to share with us what worked and what didn't and what you still need.
We won't keep you more than 15-20 minutes ... we're all busy near the end of the semester.
At the end of the interview, you will receive a signed form to take to your advisor. That goes in your file and allows you to be cleared for graduation.

Please email the department chair by 10/28 in the fall semester, by 3/28 in the spring semester, and by 6/28 in the summer semester.
Give us an idea of which days and times are best for you.
It may take an email or two to come up with a time that works for both you and us, but we'll find one.

Once you have your interview day and time set, you need to complete the Exit Interview form.
If you look in Task Stream under the category identified as Graduating Majors, you will find that form.
In the form we ask you a number of questions about your immediate and future plans.
There is also a place for you to enter the day and time of your Exit Interview so wait until you have that information to complete the form.
The form should take no more than 5 or 10 minutes.

If you are graduating this semester but are not getting an AAT, there is no need for an exit interview.
During final preparations for graduation, the advisors will know you are getting an AA (not an AAT) and won't look for a signed form in your file.
However, if you are graduating this semester we would love for you to complete the Exit Interview form in Task Stream even if you aren't getting an AAT.
We want to know what your plans are as well!
Just put "none" in the space for the exit interview.

If you are not graduating this semester, there is no need no need for you to do anything right now. We'll visit during the semester you graduate.

We look forward to visiting with all of you eventually!
